TPR Project – Machine and on-site assistance
Our client, active in pipeline construction, first commissioned us a feasibility study on the possibility of removing underground pipes without excavating the trench (Trenchless Pipeline Removing). Having received the confirmations, he commissioned us to design a machine, working with waterjet cut, that went to cut the tube with a helical cut to allow its extraction, according to their patent.
The difficulties encountered were at first the very high pressure of the waterjet cutting applied on site, then the reduced and constant speed that the machine must have to allow cutting.
The project was carried out in successive stages and is still in progress, envisaging, as a further development, the construction of a machine that cuts the pipe and proceeds to the next extraction by pulling and rotating, without the need for rigs or other external machines.
To complete the design works, we also provided assistance on site, to evaluate the related problems together.
