The customer contacted us as technical consultants to settle a matter between him and the supplier about a ball mill, weighing 30 tons, dwhere the rolling elements consisted of bushings, which overtime, they overheated until they melted.
After demonstrating the ineffectiveness of the bushing, we revamped the mill by replacing the bushings with barrel roller bearings, leaving the remaining geometry of the mill and supports unaltered.

Il progetto è stato pianificato per ridurre al minimo il fermo macchina ed evitare il calo di produttività. Una delle fasi più complicate ha riguardato la progettazione dell’intervento, in quanto la sede dove era posizionato il mulino era priva di accessi per automezzi capaci di sollevare in toto il mulino.
